William Green was born on April 12, 1800, died March 22, 1856 in IL. William married Mary "Polly" Trammell September 29, 1822 in Hamilton county Illinios.

Notes on Mary Polly Trammell: Mary is the daughter of Garrard Trammell and Barsheba Young. Her siblings are: Elizabeth Ann Trammell, Phillip Trammell, Garrard Trammell, Elijah Trammell, Harriet Trammell, Edward Trammell, Bethsheba Trammell, Zadok Casey Trammell and Fields Trammell. Edward Trammell married Sarah Munday. Three of their children also married people with the surname Green. Bersheba Trammell married Thomas Green. Mellisa Trammell married George Charles Green, Darcus Trammell married William R. Green. We have yet to link these Green families with ours but we have evidence and are gathering more that may prove to link these families.
