A Deed of Gift from Lewis Green To William Green

Know all men by these presents that I Lewis Green in the State of Illinois for and in consideration of the natural love and effection (sic) which I bear unto my Son William Green and for his better preparements in marrage (sic) and increase of his portion and also for and in consideration of the Sum of One hundred and Twenty Dollars to me in hand paid by my Said Son at and before the Sealing and delivering hereof the receipt whereof I do hereby acknowledge have given granted bargained and Sold and by these presents do give grant bargain and Sell unto my Said Son all the goods and chattels following to wit or all those goods and chattels mentioned or expressed in the Schedule or witting hereunto annexed to wit. (Lewis Green deed of gift to Wm Green) 3 Head of horses One cow One Yearling One Kittele One chest One Bed Stead Bed and Bed Clothes One Iron Pot Rack One Skillet 2 Saddles and One Bridal One hundred and forty bushels of corn One Ton of Hay to have and to hold all and Singular the Premises hereby given and Granted unto the Said William Green my Son his executors and Administrators forever as his and their own proper Good and chattels.
